The person that checked me in and brought me the paperwork after the service was complete was not very friendly or outgoing. The technician replaced my engine air filter but did not reset the monitor on the dash display I had to figure out how to do it but first I had to verify the filter was actually changed and when doing so I observed the filter box still had leaves in it.

My 2018 Buick Encore has 35,000 miles on it and has always been garage kept and received every step in the maintenance process. I developed a leak in the antifreeze system. I immediately took it to the dealership and was charged $2,174.00!!! They originaly wanted $2,666.00, but I was able to negotiate a smaller fee with the service manager. A car with such low mileage and has always been babied should never have experienced or needed this hefty repair work. I have not even needed to replace my tires yet!! I met with Dave Barlow who was very cocky and told me my car was 7 years old and what did I want him to do about it!! I filed a complaint with GM and am waiting to hear back from them. I will never buy another Buick again!! I am totally disgusted with this car and the dealership!!

My husband and I brought in 2022 Chevy Trailblazer for a comeback issue. This is the second time the vehicle was brought in because it was failing to engage in reverse. The first time the vehicle was there, it took over a week for the problem to be duplicated and another 2-3 weeks before it was fixed. That entire time I was told there were no curtesy vehicles available and no offer for vehicle rental; even though this issue is covered by the warranty and I should have been offered an alternate means of transportation as I have not one, but 2 jobs. We brought the car in 4/7 for the same thing and we were told the problem could not be replicated and because of that they would not be able to fix it nor would they be able to provide me a vehicle as an alternate means of transportation if we would have opted to leave the vehicle there for an extended period of time to continue to try and replicate the issue. This vehicle is under warranty and I expected better service than what we received. Especially considering that this is a reoccurring problem and the vehicle has a history of this. Prior to this incident, we spoke very highly of Barlow and referred friends and family to the dealership.

No hassles in closing the deal. Before buying my vehicle from here I had only spoken with the Sales Manager once. The details of the car were all online, we finalized the cost via messages. Everyone at Barlow Woodbury is extremely friendly, and they did fit me in rather quickly (within the same week I called). I have a 2025 GMC Acadia. The GPS went haywire, skipping all over the screen while I was trying to use the navigation, then had me permanently on the AC expressway in the same spot for a week. They repair the issue and did an oil change for me while it was in the shop. Nobody reset my oil change status, so i assumed it wasn’t done because it wasn’t updating in my app or in the vehicle status app in the car. Before I even drove off the lot, I had an error/warning that I car wasn’t reading my front passenger tire at all. So I had to go back inside to question the oil change and ask what was wrong with my tires. In the end, everything was fixed and again everyone was friendly. On a side note, this is the 2nd time I’ve been in within 5 months on a brand new car for electrical type issues. Hopefully, this isn’t a pattern.

There was no communication about the status of my vehicle. At first, no one wanted to give me a loaner car even though the repair was going to be covered under warranty. Then when the loaner car broke down, there was no customer service to address the problem and bring another loaner vehicle. I was told I would need to wait at least a whole day. Waiting 13 weeks to have your vehicle fixed is ridiculous. I understand GM might not want to stock parts, but how are people supposed to live with no car? And the fact that after my vehicle sat for 13 weeks and no one thought to check the battery makes no sense. The battery should have been checked and charged prior to the vehicle being returned.

I took my vehicle in for the check engine light and was determined to be a defective purge pump for my emission system that had to be ordered, thankfully it will be covered under the warranty. Had to wait about a week for the part to come in then rescheduled for the repair to be completed. Lost 2 days use of my vehicle to get this resolved but at least it's going to be resolved and hopefully better gas milage now.

Brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation. This is the second time my tires did not get rotated on my vehicle when it was in there. Told service where the key for the wheel locks was located and they say that they would tell them but they never retrieved it to rotate the tires and never explain that to me.

Timely appointment, but was called minutes before service closed to be informed 1 filter was not in stock. Also, was billed $43 for tire rotation which is a new fee and was not explained at sign in. As a customer, there is no time to read the extensive fine print before signing for work to be done. Service check in should be more forth right with this new hidden fee.

First, the people were very nice as usual. I was due for my 100,000 mile servicing. I was there for 5 hours, I was offered a ride home, but I stayed. I was told that 2 parts I would need would have to be ordered, that I would have to pay for them first, and then when they come in, I have to come back to be installed. Never heard of that. Then the clerk came back later and said they would get the parts from an auto parts store and they would be done today. I was also told I would need a new battery, which I did question as it was not very old. I was told it was tested and it needed to be replaced. When they came to tell me the car was done, they said I didn't need a battery, that it now tested fine. I took my car and went home and then noticed that half the battery cover was off and in between the passenger seats along with the car mats. (took a picture)

I dropped my truck off for an oil change, tire rotation and filters replacement. I had $40 off coupon for a mobil one oil change. I dropped the car off the day before the appointment and requested the services be completed before noon. All of this was on the after hours drop-off envelope. I call the service department around 4:30 pm to ask about my truck. They said that they are just completing the paperwork. The bill was $299. I added all the fees and taxes and the number is incorrect. $40 was not deducted. There is a note that a $25 credit was applied. It didn't indicate what the original cost of the oil change was. In addition, the tires were not rotated as per my instructions. So, for $299 I got an oil change, two filters replaced, inconvenienced all day and I still have to get my tires rotated. This was not a good customer experience.

When i decided I needed a new car, I was referred to this place by a friend. I walked in on guard, I havent bought a car in many years and always just bought used from friends or family, mostly just trying to avoid dealers. This was definitely not the case at Barlow. There was zero pressure, from beginning to end, everyone was very helpful, nice and not pushy at all. I was given a fair number for my trade and for the new vehicle purchase. I was given many different payment options and said if I want to think about it to go home and if I wanted come back tomorrow, no pressure. When I called for service about my air conditioner, I was given an appointment 2wks out. I was told it would be $300 just to look at it. Then I brought it in and I told them that I thought it might be something electrical. They called and said that I needed a new compressor. They replaced it and then they call and tell me that I had a wire chewed through (electrical) So it would be another $155 on top of the $2700 already being charged. In my opinion I probably didn't need the compressor. Had they gone with what I told them from the beginning.

Called to schedule an apt for mt air bag recall that GM took almost 2 years to get the part to fix. Came in maybe 10 mins before my apt time and to be told I didnt have an apt. I showed my service advisor the text I got showing my apt. I guess the service manager came out and looked at it. Was told "that does look like our text" anyway.. after my car was checked in and told my apt was in a different system, they asked if my part was in stock. I said I have no clue, I called and scheduled my apt, I would think that they would have it. Service manager went to parts dept and they had 1 that no one had claimed. Was asked if I wanted to wait or if I was leaving the vehicle before I was told how long it would take. Left the car. Didn't take very long, but they did a multi point inspection on my vehicle and everything came back good except for brakes. Not paying over $700 for a brake job when I work in autoparts and can get the parts for about $125 and have my husband who works on cars do it. Only reason I went to Barlow is because they did my last recall, even though apparently they have no record because they got hacked and customers history's were wiped from the system.

The part they replaced looked the same as the one removed the rear window had hand prints all over and found clip in back of vehicle can’t find where it goes and I’m still not satisfied with mechanic saying I damaged magnetic charging port on console rubber has imprint I told service manager I didn’t do it he said it is damaged and he won’t replace it because he won’t get reimbursed from Buick under warranty the vehicle is only 5 month old with less than 4000 miles on it the other issue I had was you don’t get a full owner’s manual I was told I can pay for one at 80 dollars I just paid 50000 dollars for new vehicle and get small booklet I’m old school thank you for listening

It was a bad flat tire, burst side wall. The staff took care of it that day and it was all replced with a new one, plus a new jack under warranty. I wished to pay the bill with some of the 47000+ points I have on my GM cc. The staff bent over backwards to make that happen enlisting clerical staff as well.... to no avail? I paid the bill there and will be contacting GM Rewards today to work this out.

Quick and easy. I was looking for a red Envista Sport Touring but none were available in my area. Barlow had a red Avenir which I planned to buy instead. Lucky for me, the Avenir had just been sold. My salesman (John D) tracked down the car I actually wanted (Sport Touring) and had it delivered to the lot in a couple days (from PA, no charge). He was helpful in finding me any discounts available (I actually got a better deal than the Avenir). He showed me how to use all the devices in the car and even set up the phone app (MyBuick). The service department was pleasant and prompt. I got my oil changed and tires rotated and also new wiper blades installed. The only issue I have is my tow cover fell off and was told it was $145 to replace. I thought that was too much. I actually thought it would be free because I've not done anything to cause it to fall off.(I hand wash the car). I would not mind paying something but $145 for a 4" piece of plastic that will probably fall off again is too much. Can you help with this situation? By the way, this is my first Buick and I love it.

I waited slightly over 5 weeks to get my car back from a transmission issue. At times there were no follow-up information given to the status of the vehicle. I had to call weekly to find out the status of the vehicle or stop into the dealership. Finally in the third week I requested a loaner car as it was getting difficult for my wife to get to work. I would have thought the day would follow up entirely matter every week and offer a car knowing that I was without a vehicle for weeks. I would only say that eventually they told me they were waiting on one part that was not available I guess that's what contributed to some of the delay but it wasn't a very pleasant experience being without a vehicle for 5 weeks.

We walked in and waited for about 15 minutes for someone to come to the service desk. There was a woman sitting in one of the offices in that area and looked at us several times and said nothing. After about 10 minutes she finally said someone will be up in a minute. Then at the 15 minute mark someone did come to greet us and take our information. All we were getting was an oil change. Not even the tire rotation. It took an hour and a half. At that point I walked to the service desk and asked what the status was. The woman said she’ll go check for me. That’s when a different woman whom I never saw said what’s your name. I told her and she said I have your paperwork here you’re good to go. Then told me to go to the cashier. I asked how long has my paperwork been sitting here to which she replied I don-no. An hour and a half is not an exaggeration. But that’s when I decided to check what the issue was. I felt it’s been long enough.

I was there for a scheduled appointment just for an oil change. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes. One hour and 20 minutes into the appointment they told me I needed a new drain plug. If they started my appointment when scheduled why did it take so long to tell me I needed a new plug??? I also had a question which she wrote on the work order which was never addressed. This whole visit was unacceptable.
